Inspire, Enjoy, Achieve

Our Summer 1 topic is Indian Art. We have painted lotus flowers, the national flower of India, elephants using beads, pencils or different colour of paper because they are the national animal of India.

Until the end of term we will now be working with a London tube map. To start with, we will be trying to read the co-ordinates and locating different stations around London.

What do you think we will be using the map for in art?

Close Observational Drawings

In Art Year 4 are looking at close observational drawings. This week the two classes went to the Infant playground and created some rubbings of the different natural materials they could find and the pattern they have. Patterns can be found anywhere, even on our fingers! What natural patterns can you see around you?

Here are some pictures of our rubbings and the classes in the playground.
