Place value is understanding the value of each digit in a number. It is important to know which is a hundred, ten or unit to help round or order or to find more or less than a given number.
We have identified the thousands, hundreds, tens and unit of a number and some of us even went onto decimals!

This week we also looked at negative numbers, which are smaller than a positive number. It is important to know negative numbers as they can be found and used on temperature gauges.
