December 2023 - Actor, Author, Comedian, Presenter and Writer, Matt Lucas, visited Aylward
Matt was a former pupil at Aylward Primary school and has maintained close links over the years. His last visit was in 2018 for the official opening of Aylward’s new school building. During this visit, Matt spent time signing and
dedicating his new book to many children and staff. 'The Boy Who Slept through Christmas'
He led an entertaining and exciting assembly, fully immersing the children in amusing tales of his childhood and subsequent rise to celebrity status. Matt held a captive audience through a mix of storytelling, singing and musical games. He inspired our children with his passion for writing.

CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH WEEK - February 2021
The theme for 2021 was 'Express Yourself'. Children used Art as a way of expressing themselves.
Some of our Keyworker children in school pinned positive messages around the local community and hope that it will make people smile.
OFFICIAL CELEBRATION OF THE NEW BUILDING - 26th March 2018
This week we officially celebrated our new school building; attended by former pupil Matt Lucas (Comedian, Screenwriter and Actor), the Worshipful The Mayor, Councillor Margaret Davine, accompanied by the Mayoress Mrs Marilyn Devine, Harrow East MP Bob Blackman, School Governors, staff and pupils - past and present.
