Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At Aylward Primary School, we are committed to providing an inclusive education where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. We recognise that children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) may require additional or different support to access learning and thrive at school. Through early identification, high-quality adaptive teaching, targeted interventions and personalised support, we work closely with pupils, families and external professionals to identify and remove barriers to learning. Our Inclusion Team works alongside class teachers and support staff to ensure that provision is responsive to each child’s individual strengths and needs, promoting independence, confidence, participation and inclusion.
