At Aylward Primary School, we recognise the importance of providing families with flexible, high-quality childcare that supports them before and after the school day, as well as during school holidays.
Our Breakfast Club (ABC) is available from 8.00am, providing children with a welcoming start to the school day. Our After School Club (PAALS) runs until 5.45pm, giving families flexibility at the end of the school day. Both services provide children with a safe and enjoyable environment in which to spend time with their friends and take part in a range of activities.
For our Nursery children, we also offer 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible working parents, alongside the option for families who do not qualify for the funding to pay for full-time Nursery provision. Please see our Admissions page for further information.
During the school holidays, our World Club Sports provides children with opportunities to enjoy a varied programme of activities, using our extensive school facilities. Activities include football, basketball, gymnastics, yoga, mindfulness, badminton, woodland games, bushcraft, Forest School, arts and crafts, drama, dance and story-time, alongside many other sporting and creative activities. The Holiday Club is open to children from Aylward and other schools, providing families with an additional option for holiday childcare.
Our wraparound provision is designed to provide safe, engaging and enriching experiences for children, while giving parents and carers the flexibility and reassurance they need to balance school, work and family commitments.
